Tomato Basil Grilled Turkey Tenderloins

The product page lists dehydrated tomatoes, tomato powder, garlic, onion, and spices, and describes basil. Turkey tenderloin is lean and mild, so a full 24-hour soak gives it flavor and moisture that a quick rub can't.

Made with

Ingredients and steps

Serves: 12-15

Ingredients

  • 5 lb turkey breast tenderloins (6-8 pieces)
  • Frisco Tomato Basil Marinade, mixed with cold water as the package directs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • For serving: a tomato, cucumber, and red onion salad, or buttered pasta

Steps

  1. Dissolve the marinade in the water in a glass dish or gallon zip bags. Add the turkey and make sure it's completely covered.
  2. Refrigerate 24 hours, turning once.
  3. Take the turkey out and throw away the used marinade. Pat it dry and brush lightly with olive oil.
  4. Heat the grill to medium (350-400F). Grill the tenderloins 20-25 minutes, turning every 5 minutes, until the thickest part reads 165F.
  5. Rest 5 minutes, then slice across the grain and serve with the salad or pasta.
  6. Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours. Cold slices make good sandwiches; reheat to 165F if serving warm.

Pair it with

Greek Flavor Marinade. It uses the same 24-hour soak per its product page, with garlic, onion, and lemon juice powder, for the next batch of turkey or chicken.
